MinGenTec stands for the future-oriented transformation of Lusatia within the framework of structural change.
The initiative was launched in 2017 by companies active along the value chain of mining, as well as the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IHK) Cottbus and the Economic Development Brandenburg (WFBB). Since 2020, we have been working closely with the Economic Development Saxony (WFS) and the IHK Dresden (offices in Görlitz and Zittau) as cooperation partners.
MinGenTec supports companies and institutions from Lusatia in developing new business fields and markets through the promotion of innovations, internationalization, and networking.
Our goal is to secure and further develop the expertise that has grown in the region over decades in mining and energy industries. MinGenTec offers a wide range of webinars and workshops on topics such as innovation and market development. These events help companies and research institutions successfully position themselves in a changing global and regional economic landscape. Regular networking meetings promote the exchange of experiences and ideas, while joint trade fair appearances at community stands help members find new business partners and make Lusatian expertise visible. A vibrant network of over 260 companies and scientific institutions has now formed, actively addressing the challenges of change.
MinGenTec thus significantly contributes to securing the future of Lusatia and strengthens the region's position as a competence center for energy and technology in Germany and beyond.
