The Economic Initiative Lausitz e.V. (WiL) is a regional action and network platform in the Lausitz region. Founded in 2009 by companies from Lausitz, around 60 cross-sector and cross-regional companies, institutions, chambers, and municipalities from Lübbenau to Zittau, employing a total of around 14,000 people, are now engaged in WiL.
The main concern of WiL and its members is to sustainably strengthen the economic location of Lausitz. The substantive work of WiL is oriented towards three thematic focal points, which are implemented in concrete projects and events:
• Regional Economic Power – consolidate and market
• Young Talent and Skilled Workers – qualify and secure
• Research and Science – network and expand
