In his opening speech at Hannover Messe, Chancellor Olaf Scholz reaffirmed the significance of innovations for the competitiveness and future viability of companies: The development of new products and the research and application of forward-looking technologies are essential. As a special highlight, the introduction of the Innovation Check, for which MinGenTec project manager for innovations Sabine Heider is responsible, was announced: This free service offering from MinGenTec supports companies in recognizing and exploiting their innovation potentials as well as improving their innovation processes.
Additionally, pioneering projects from various research institutions and companies were presented, including three research projects from the Chair of Automation Technology at the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU), the Saxon Competence Center for Hydrogen, the Fraunhofer Institute for Machine Tools and Forming Technology IWU, the Center for Data-Intensive System Research CASUS (Center for Advanced Systems Understanding), and X-Visual Technologies GmbH.
Following the presentations, more than 40 industry professionals from Hannover Messe took the opportunity to gain deeper insights through personal discussions with experts from science and industry and to explore cooperation ideas. This made the event 'MINGENTEC MEETS SCIENCE' at Hannover Messe 2024 a resounding success and underscored the important role of MinGenTec in supporting innovations, internationalization, and networking in Lusatia.
