Successful Kick-off Event for Expansion into the UAE and the Middle East
On Friday, February 23, representatives from around 50 companies and institutions from East Germany gathered at the Spreespeicher in Berlin for an inspiring meeting on the topic of "Market Entry into the UAE and the Middle East." The event, organized by the German-Emirati Chamber of Industry and Commerce (AHK) in cooperation with Dubai CommerCity and Rödl & Partner, marked a promising start for collaboration.
The speakers highlighted current trends in global trade and e-commerce, particularly regarding the dynamic development of the United Arab Emirates and the Middle East. Insights into the expertise and future prospects for the UAE, especially Dubai until 2030, were presented. Rita Aouad, Bandar Shanneik, LL.M., and Mitch Bittermann provided well-founded information supported by their extensive experience. The moderation by Markus Brandt ensured the smooth running of the conference.
Also present were representatives from last year's economic mission to the UAE, including Dr.-Ing. Ali Ameli from CESS Clean Energy System Solutions and the Center for Advanced Systems Understanding (CASUS) at HZDR, as well as Dr. Christina Eisenberg and Arkadiusz Żurek from the Cottbus Chamber of Commerce. The event provided an excellent platform for networking, exchange, and information gathering.
For those interested who could not attend the event, Marcus Brandt and Caroline Clajus are available for inquiries. As partners of this event, the MinGenTec network recommends all member companies to collaborate with the AHK for business activities in the UAE and the Middle East.
